Two years after the release of “Betàm Soul”, Giovanna Carone (refined voice and antique music specialist) and Mirko Signorile (jazz pianist) take up their musical partnership again to continue breathing new life into the Yiddish music of European Jewish culture: their new Far Libe album is released on 29 May, on the Digressione Music label, promoted with the support of Puglia Sounds.
This album is inspired by the theme of love, and the title itself means: “For Love”. The track which gives its name to the album, written for Dmitri Kabalevsky’s nostalgic waltz, from the Twenty-four Little Pieces, is a tribute to the redeeming power of love and of Yiddish music, able to dissolve pain into joy.
