Il festival
La rassegna concertistica “Stornarella Jazz Festival” nasce da un’idea del pianista Pasquale Stafano e del bandoneonista Gianni Iorio. Il festival si tiene nel comune di Stornarella in provincia di Foggia, un piccolo centro con poco più di 5000 abitanti le cui origini risalgono al 1774 quando per rendere produttiva la piana re Ferdinando IV di Borbone fondò i borghi di Carapelle, Ordona, Orta Nova, Stornara e Stornarella con 500 famiglie coloniche che presero il nome di Cinque Siti Reali. La rassegna concertistica organizzata dal Comune di Stornarella e dall’Associazione B Flat è supportata dalla Regione Puglia, Unione europea e Puglia Promozione.
The Festival
The “Stornarella Jazz Festival” concert series was born from an idea of the pianist Pasquale Stafano and the bandoneonist Gianni Iorio. The festival is held in the municipality of Stornarella in the province of Foggia, a small town with just over 5000 inhabitants whose origins date back to 1774 when, to make the plain productive, King Ferdinand IV of Bourbon founded the villages of Carapelle, Ordona, Orta Nova, Stornara and Stornarella with 500 farm families who took the name of Five Royal Sites. The concert series organized by the Municipality of Stornarella and the B Flat Association and is supported by the Puglia Region, the European Union and Puglia Promozione.
